TSB Bank

139 Poplars Ave, Warrington WA2 9LW, UK – 01925 209997

Small local branch of a nationwide banking organisation. Only a few service staff working here therefore queues can occur at certain times. If you are dealing with large transactions of money, it would be best to phone the bank first to give them prior warning. For example, a large cash withdrawal may not be possible without forewarning. There are two ATM's on the premise. There is limited parking spaces, which at certain times can be a major problem. Staff are friendly and generally the service is above average.

TSB Bank

7 Buttermarket St, Warrington WA1 2LY, UK – 01925 653565

Probably one of the more stable banks in recent times I highly recommend this sensational bank. The interest rates are good and the staff are always polite and helpful - account customers can borrow a brolly I mean come on!

Always friendly and rarely have to wait to speak to someone at the counter

23 Sankey St, Warrington WA1 1XG, UK – 0345 788 8444

Located in pedestrianised area, however there is a large undercover car park in the nearby shopping mall. Service in the bank has got much more friendly and knowledge in recent years (one could say post 2008.) An extensive automated service centre for payment and deposits etc. However there is still the traditional counters where a staff member will be happy to serve.also a couple of ATM's just outside of the main doors. There are a number of rooms where you can conduct your business with the bank in privacy. Can be extremely busy at certain points in the day.

Ideal location middle of town centre staff always willing to help and assist you

Building Societies

Golden Square Shopping Centre, 22 Sankey St, Warrington WA1 1TD, UK – 0800 554 0727

Excellent service, helpful friendly staff. To the lady who complained they were closed on Good Friday, it's a Bank Holiday, clue's in the name.

Bupa Dental Care Warrington

03.03.2016 Called them for an Emergency Appointment at 8.30am (I was in some serious bother with a deep cavity and possible abscess and was due to go on annual leave abroad in 3 days! I should also mention that I was not previously registered! They fit me in on the day, extracted the tooth and sent me packing with antibiotics just in case of any infection. Wow. Absolutely amazing service and great dentistry from the lady with the foreign accent in room 1 (sorry I did not catch your name!)

Great Dentists, polite and caring, they put you totally at ease and Dr Harris is a top guy. Very happy, brilliant service.

Dr M J Petch - Helsby Street Medical Centre

2 Helsby St, Warrington WA1 3AW, UK – 01925 637304

I've been with helsby st medical centre since the day it opened as the original surgery in that was on barley road shops in Thelwall was far to small so in total I've been with them for a total of 43 years and hope to be with them for many more

Local medical centre with a number of GP's. Sometimes can be difficult to obtain an appointment, however that is the general state of affairs with a busy practice. Helpful and friendly staff. Doctors themselves are understanding and caring towards the patient.

Manchester Road Surgery

280 Manchester Rd, Warrington WA1 3RB, UK – 01925 230022

I have been at this surgery for a number year's I can honestly say it's one of the best surgery's in the northwest if not the UK. From the receptionists /doctors /even the practice manager are 100% committed and dedicated to the care of everyone at this practice. Many thanks Mr chris morris.

Everything is absolutely brilliant, especially the doctors, only problem is, one of the receptionists is quite rude

Cockhedge Medical Centre

7 Cockhedge Way, Warrington WA1 2QQ, UK – 01925 244655

I have been registered with this practice since it opened. I love this surgery. The receptionists are always warm and friendly. Dr Whitenburgh is fantastic and always goes the extra mile. He is a credit to his profession.

Very shocked about the people filling positions as doctors and nurses as well There was a time where doctors would ask you alot of questions and offering possible solutions, now they just seat in their chair not even looking at you, they don’t even listen and they are trying to get you out of the office immediatly. I have stomach problems for over a year now and I have asked Dr Whitenburugh to help me go to a specialist,a private or something,he said he can’t do that,he is not allowed to reccomand private hospitals/doctors.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Lovely Ln, Warrington WA5 1QG, UK – 01925 635911

Great hospital with a good subway to visit if you feel like it. Also they do good blood tests here and the hospital radio is moderately better than one would expect.

Staff are great at this hospital . Was there last night and they looked after my precious boy really well and reassured me and I also noticed how good they were with the other patients and parents. The reviews about the parking can easily be sorted by getting the pay by phone app and just paying afterwards it does log in a different time although the parking people who own the car park still know you have paid . If you are confused as to which part of the hospital to park at you can always phone ahead and ask as that's what I do due to my poor mobility. Also they are human and I totally believe they do their best and follow the , first do no harm as it's their oath they take. Warrington also has had a huge amount of cut backs.

I absolutely love this place! Everything about it is beautiful. Holy Mass is unimaginably beautiful, the Church interior is stunning and the priests there are exceptionally dedicated and devoted to God, the Church and the faith. Quite possibly the best Church in the diocese.

Very caring, holy priests. Awe inspiring liturgy and high quality music under the very talented director of music, Michael Wynne

Find Recycling Centres

Woolston Community Recycling Centre

New Cut Ln, Warrington WA1 4AG, UK – 01925 443322

Overall a really good tidy place and stuff (some) are very friendly and helpful but the time it opens in the week should be changed from 10am to 8.30am/9am for the people that start work later and finish late can't get to the tip at them times.

Well organised, can get a bit stuck in a queue at busy times though. Closed until October 2018.

Recycle Technology Ltd

Warrington Central Trading Estate, Bewsey Rd, Warrington WA2 7LP, UK – 01925 242223

I'm sure I've phoned these up before. Seem a friendly bunch and think I'll call them next week to see if they can help me source some reasonably well priced refurbished computers. Hopefully I'll be able to buy regular from yourselves.

Cash For Clothes

153 Orford Ln, Warrington WA2 7AF, UK – 0844 800 9016

Great shop!

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Warrington

Mr Lau's Dim Sum Bar + Chinese Restaurant

2 Springfield St, Warrington WA1 1BB, UK – 01925 428575

Wow amazing delicious superb quality. Great value lunch menu. Seaweed, prawn crackers, s&p spare ribs and duck pancakes to start and 10/10 fantastic. Chicken curry and rice with No 39 bean sprouts were delicious. Salt & pepper chips. Great service, spotlessly clean absolutely worth a visit.

Well styled inside and the food was great. Staff were good, although I wouldn't say friendly exactly and a bit too attentive. I felt like we were being watched while eating. To be fair it wasn't very busy at the time. We had a great meal and I would (and have) recommend.

Ozmi Indian Eatery & Restaurant

43-49 Winwick Rd, Warrington WA2 7DH, UK – 01925 244700

Been to this restaurant a few times now and never found even the smallest problem. First tried it about 3 years ago on the advice of a colleague who recommended it rather than the one we were thinking of. He got a big thanks when I saw him! 8 of us went the first time and everyone was raving about the food. Probably the best lamb bhuna I've had outside of curry mile! Price wise it's excellent value for money and the portions are big enough for most people (I'm a big eater and they're pleny for me) Nicely decorated, good friendly staff and air conditioning- fab in the recent heatwave! Looking forward to the next visit!

Went here saturday night..not a problem booking to get a table for 4 of us...meal fantastic didnt dissapoint ..be back very soon.🍽🥂

ABC 123 is an absoloutly brilliant nursery, I wouldn't dream of sending my son anywhere else, all the staff are amazing and caring. Very informative and attentive! My son absoloutly loves going here and gets excited when we pull into the car park! There is never an issue and on the rare occasion there is as a parent I am well informed. His development since being with the nursery is incredible and I'm so happy to know that he is in such a safe place when I'm not with him. Thankyou to all the staff for be amazing!!

my daughter loves the staff, she has come on leaps and bounds in just 7 months and is way above her non nursery friends in terms of speech, knowledge and understanding. she loves learning and it had made such a positive difference to our lives. highly recommend!

Public & Preparatory Schools

King's Leadership Academy Warrington

Hillock Ln, Woolston, Warrington WA1 4PF, UK – 01925 817939

I am very much looking forward to sending my children to this school, especially as it will be after they have moved into their new building. My friend has sent her kids to this school and has not regretted it. Sure, it is different from other schools (or the schooling I remember!) as they have set routines that other schools don't have, and longer school days. From what I have seen first hand in my friends children is that they have matured and are able to have decent intelligent conversations with, as they have confidence not often seen in kids that age and my friend credits the school with bringing them out of their shells in that respect. Plus, I don't know that many people who have met an astronaut or the prime minister and the pupils at Kings did. These are kids who have enjoyed lots of school trips to universities which has helped give them a real direction in life as they are told that they can achieve lots more than they ever thought they could. My lad is looking forward to the martial arts and joining the cadet group in particular, and the away trips to the Lake District they put on for them.

I'm also a student at King's, to be honest, overall its quite a good school, yes we are pressured but it's to push us to get higher grades than people in other schools. There's always a few teachers who get to really know you and who you can feel like you can talk to. Sure it's not perfect, like every place, communication between the school and home is quite poor, not sure why but it is and needs sorting. You hear about other schools and how there's a fight almost every week but there's only really been 1 proper fight in the 4 years it's been open and it was dealt with immediately. Yeah some teachers are less understanding than others and can sometimes make you feel a bit down as they constantly tell you to do better, but im guessing its to improve grades or something but thats only a small amount of teachers, probably 1 or 2, maybe 3. Students may like it at other schools because they may be less pressured and get away with more, but it just sets the standards for the future. Higher standards in school = higher standards for yourself when i think about it. Over all its quite a good school, the school gives you lots of opportunities and activities and chances to go places you might never get chance to go otherwise
